Vinge is a popular employer among law students.
As a student it can be useful to gain an insight into working life at a corporate law firm.
Each year we arrange an event called "Vingeveckan" (Vinge Week). Vinge Week is our chance to give law students an opportunity to form an opinion of the practical work of a corporate lawyer. Vinge Week will give you an insight into the daily working life of a corporate lawyer and into the practice of business law. Representatives from the business community will give their views on the lawyer’s role, for example, in connection with corporate restructuring. Another way is to gain practical experience while writing your thesis.
Are you a law student who wants practical experience? Are you ambitious, goal-oriented and consider yourself a skilful future commercial and business lawyer? Why not apply for practical experience with us?
We offer regular legal trainee posts to students who fulfil certain qualifying criteria. Accordingly, any student who needs practical experience as part of their student theses are welcome to apply.
As a trainee you will participate in the work of a practice group and gain a practical insight in the legal profession and what its like to work at Vinge. The group offers supervision during your traineeship and all trainees are assigned a mentor.
Summer associates
Each summer several law students are given the opportunity to work as summer associates at some of Vinge offices. Applications are welcomed from studnets who have completed six terms of their legal education at the beginning of the summer. At Vinge the successful applicants will gain an insight into the legal profession and take part in the practical work under supervision of experienced lawyers. The work involves research, drafting of agreements, attending meetings, etc. One of the lawyers will act as a mentor. The mentor will provide an introduction into the profession and give advice and comments during the course of the summer placement. A summer associate is normally employed for a period of six to ten weeks. Please contact the recruitment unit at the Vinge office that interests you.
If you are considering writing your thesis on an area of corporate law, there is also an opportunity to apply for a Vinge Scholarship.
