Every year Vinge provides a scholarship to reward excellent academic achievement for theses written by undergraduates at the universities of Uppsala, Lund, Stockholm and Gothenburg. The Vinge Scholarship is awarded to the student at each university who has written the best commercial law thesis during the previous year. The scholarship is currently in the amount of SEK 16,500. In addition, Vinge pays for the publishing of the winning theses in the publication Commercial Law Theses (Sw. Affärsjuridiska uppsatser). The publication is published by Iustus Förlag, www.iustus.se.
The recipients are chosen by a scholarship committee consisting of representatives from the universities, assisted by lawyers from Vinge. No separate application for the scholarship is required. Once a year (currently on 1 February), the tutors at the universities nominate the theses which they believe to be the most suitable for the scholarship. The tutors may nominate one thesis each. The winning theses are then chosen by the scholarship committee. If you are interested in the Vinge Scholarship, do not hesitate to raise the question of nomination with your tutor.
