Elisabet Fura Sandström appointed judge at the European Court for Human Rights

Vinge partner Elisabet Fura-Sandström was today appointed judge at the European Court for Human Rights. The vote took place at the Council of Europe's Parlimentary Assembly's spring session.

"It is a great honor and it will be a big but extremly interesting challange," Elisabet Fura-Sandström says.

Fura-Sandström was one of three nominated from the Swedish government. The three candidates went through a personal interview before the vote.

Elisabet Fura-Sandström is elected for a period of 1.5 years after which she may be re-elected for a period of 6 years.
