New partner strengthens Vinge’s M&A and Private Equity practice

Jan Byström has practised law in New York during the past six years, where he has primarily advised companies and private equity clients on private and public M&A transactions. Jan has advised both buyers and sellers on a large number of controlled auctions. He has also represented equity investors on large value cross-border project finance and leasing transactions.

"We are very pleased to announce the recruitment of Jan Byström as partner in Vinge’s Stockholm office", says Carl Wetter, Chairman of Vinge Stockholm. "Having practised in New York for six years, Jan has gained a solid experience in leading, negotiating and documenting large transactions in an international environment. I am confident that Jan, with his M&A and private equity expertise, will further strengthen Vinge’s M&A and Private Equity practice and be of great value to the firm and our clients."

Previously with Vinge from 1993 to 1998, Jan Byström (born 1964) rejoins the firm from the Wall Street practice of Davis Polk & Wardwell, where he has worked since 2000. From 1998 until 2000, Jan practised at the US law firm Hunton & Williams, also in New York.

Jan Byström became a member of the Swedish Bar Association in 1997 and a member of the New York State Bar in 2001.
