Vinge receives gender diversity award for the fifth time

Vinge has won the “Best Swedish Firm for Women in Business Law” award at the Europe Women in Business Law Awards which took place in London on 15 June 2017.

The firm has an unusually large number of women in managerial positions. Two years ago, Vinge set the goal of being the first Swedish law firm to have 50 per cent women among newly-elected partners within the next five years.

”We are incredibly proud and happy that we have received this award once again”, says Maria–Pia Hope, CEO of Vinge. “We are the large business law firm which has the highest percentage of female senior lawyers and we are actively endeavouring to ensure that we have 50 per cent women among our newly-elected partners. Of course we are happy – but we also hope to have some stiff competition in the future!”

Vinge also received the award in 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016 and now in 2017. The European Women in Business Law Awards were awarded for the seventh time and arranged by Euromoney Legal Media Group and International Financial Law Review. The awards are given to the best law firms and individuals based on surveys and nominations.

Vinge was also nominated in five other categories: "Best gender diversity initiative by national firm", "Best national firm for work-life balance", "Best national firm for talent management" and the largest European award "Best national firm for women in business law". Vinge partner Christina Kokko was also nominated in the individual category "Best in private equity".

Mercedes Anderås, Anna Hofling Johansson, Maria-Pia Hope, Christina Kokko, Anna Edström and Kristina Ekberg attended the award ceremony in London to receive the award.
